Angeline Buczkowski, MS, LPC, LBS, NCC, offers individual counseling, couples therapy, and family therapy in our Monroeville Counseling Center. Her goal is to empower her clients to create the emotional balance, coping skills, and the mutually supportive relationships that they want for themselves and their intimate lives. Angeline utilizes creativity in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Relationship Enhancement Therapy, and blended Behavioral Counseling approaches. Angeline is offering treatment for a variety of areas including autism spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, ADHD, couples therapy or marriage counseling, depression, disruptive behavior disorders, intimacy, infidelity, parenting, family issues, stress, time management, trauma related disorders, mood disorders, intellectual disabilities, and physical disabilities. Angeline has a special interest in providing couples and family therapy and has worked extensively with parents of children who have been impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other mental health disorders, offering parent training, co-parenting support, and behavioral consultations. Angeline believes in using an emotionally warm and evidenced-based treatment model that incorporates a vast respect for the importance of the uniqueness of personality of each individual that she serves. We achieve change and balance with the application of the scientifically verified counseling approach which will enhance relationships, endeavoring for enhanced coping skills, behavioral modifications, heightened capacity for empathy, emotional resilience, and overall greater patience, understanding, and intimacy with ourselves and each other.
Therapy with Angeline begins by with a thorough intake assessment, this is the part of the counseling process which aims to gain an understanding of the individual or family systems, to assess for their internal personality strengths, and external allies for support. Using these strengths, Angeline will then create a treatment plan which will outline the areas for change that the individuals, couples, and families agree upon. The vast majority of the therapy is focused on helping the client, couples, and families, put into action the achievement of these goals.
Angeline is a graduate of the esteemed Chatham University, where she received her Master of Science in Professional Counseling Psychology. Angeline has furthered her academic training by completing the exhaustive requirements to become a licensed as a behavioral specialist which allows her to work with individuals, couples, and families in providing the behavioral therapeutic approach which highlights evidence-based outcomes. Prior to become a psychotherapist with The Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh, Angeline has worked with children, adolescents, couples, and families for nine years through-out Greater Pittsburgh, Monroeville, and Western Pennsylvania. Angeline has worked in a variety of settings including managing treatment teams, and offering counseling for patients of partial hospitalization programs and most recently, she offered in-home therapeutic support services.
Angeline values spending time with her new-born son, husband, and extended family. Angeline enjoys writing poetry and meditative journaling, listening to music and the taking in the tranquility of the outdoors. Angeline works to promote wellness in herself and her family and is passionate about mind-body awareness and fostering a connection to physical rhythms and emotional frequency of herself and others. When Angeline is not providing individual counseling and couples therapy, she enjoys a multitude of wellness activities, interests, and hobbies. She is a distance runner, she weight trains in the gym, and is also an avid meditation practitioner, recognizing that breathing and mindfulness are an important pathway to emotional health and enhanced well-being.
